(Unfortunately, unarmed drill team didn't place at all. Poo.
Matt picked me up, along with Lisa, Davis, and Sou. We were all pretty excited (even though we were pretty late, ahahaha...).
Then we got to a stoplight. There was a truck stopped in front of us. And we crashed into it. It was pretty crazy and happened really fast. I threw my arms up in front of me instinctively to block, shut my eyes, and held my breath. After I opened them again, the airbags were deployed, and Lisa, Davis and Sou had gotten out of the back. I undid my seatbelt and quickly got out as well (since it felt like the car was starting to move again), picking Davis up out of the street. Both vehicles moved into a side street. The other driver called the emergency services. We had some paramedics look at us and gave some information to the police, and they told us to call our parents so they could release custody to them (since none of us were over 18). Nghia, Tain, and Gunar came down to check out the scene.
I was so nervous. I couldn't stop shivering, though whether because it was cold or the tension, I'm not sure. Lisa and Davis wanted to go home with me, since they're scared of what their parents would do... I would've agreed, but my dad said that their parents needed to know about this as soon as possible. I hope it worked out for those two.
I left the scene first. From what Matt told me, he and his dad called a tow truck and had his car taken to a body shop, and then he got a ride with Gunar and them to the drill team banquet. I'm not sure what happened to the others, but I assume they either went with them or home.
After the banquet, Matt came over by my house and I tried to cheer him up a bit. It did work for a while... then I walked him home...
He feels terrible... It made me want to cry just looking at him. I really hope everything will work out for the best. To me, nobody was hurt aside from some scratches and bruises, and that's what matters to me. Thank God. I wish I could make him feel better instead of just numbing the pain. I couldn't think of what to say that wasn't cliche or sounded like a self-help book. I wish I did more than just be there and listen.

Glad to hear no one got hurt

This is the best kind of person to talk to: someone who is willing to take an honest look at the evidence. Being willing is essential. Evidence cannot convince the unwilling.

But it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.

Walking in the Dark: Vampires, Black winged angels, Egyption mummies, and cute little dog demons. What more could you want from an Online comic?
Thank God you're all alright! How frightening! How did the accident happen?
I think your dad made a really wise choice in making your friends tell their parents first. I commend him.
And I completely understand what you mean about wanting to lessen the pain, not just numb it. But you guys have time to do the former, so just do your best, and your love and care will take care of the rest!
...It's been too long. Geez...I'm gonna call you now....wait...it's 10:34....D'OH!
